This is Mr Foxy from Enchanted Forest coloured using my Kohinoor Polycolor pencils and for the first time I have used the colourless blender pencil that came with them.
I tried to keep to the natural colours of a fox and hope I have managed to achieve something pleasing to the eye.
I am a member of a colouring group ion Facebook dedicated to Johanna Basford. This month I have participated in a pair off whereby 2 people colour the same picture and then show the finished result. This is my finished piece.
I used my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for this and used a pale blue chalk pastel for the background. The water droplet were coloured with my Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen.
I completed this picture last week, but forgot to post it.
This is another one from Lost Ocean by Johanna Basford. I coloured this image of 2 seahorses with Kohinoor Polycolor pencils. My preferred pencils are Polychromos by Faber Castell, but these Kohinoor Polycolor pencils come in a very close second. They blend really well and I am enjoying using them at the moment.
Here is another image from the wonderful Lost Ocean by Johanna Basford.
I used kohinoor Polycolor pencils, wink of Stella brush pen in Gold glitter and gel pen for this mandala style image.
I managed to get hold of the latest book by Johanna Basford last week. This book has been published by Penguin Random House and in the UK has been released by Virgin Books.
This book has been printed on bright white paper which is not as thick as her previous books. This should not be a problem for me as I use coloured pencils and tend to colour with a light hand.
I decided I would colour the ‘This book belongs to’ page first. I used a combination of Faber Castell Polychromos, Kohinoor Polycolor and Marco Raffine pencils and really enjoyed colouring this page.
My next page was the Title page and for this page I used just 6 Kohinoor Polycolor pencils, 3 green and 3 blue.
I have to say that I absolutely love this book and have completed 3 pages so far. My next page was the first design in the book. I decided I wanted to do a background, but struggled to manage a circular background so ended up going all the way to the edges of the page. This page was done using a combination of Faber Castell Polychromos, Kohinoor Polycolor and Marco Raffine pencils. I added touches of sparkle to the page by using a Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Stardust gel pen.
I’m now working on my 4th page and will post that one when it is complete.
I’m sorry I’ve neglected this blog for some time, but I’m back and will post some of the work I have done while I’ve been away.
My most recent work has been done using Prismacolor Premier pencils which are wax based. I usually work with oil based pencils so these are a bit of a challenge for me as they are so different.
I followed a tutorial on colouring feathers to colour this picture of a heron from Animal Kingdom by Millie Marotta.
I have finally finished the Flowers and Butterflies image from Animal Kingdom by Millie Marotta. I have coloured the image in with my Polychromos pencils by Faber Castell.
